silverado z71 , I want to use the carburator that came with motor, the 5.7
vortec that in it now blew up,is there a why to still use the 99 tranny and
computer

If you are trying to install a carburated engine in a fuel injected truck you may have a problem if the transmission is computer controlled. The engine should run with the carb and a distrubutor that is not controlled by the computer but the trans may not work properly. You may need to talk to a transmission specialist to figure out that one.
