Question type: Maintenance & Repair

99 Chevy Silverado 1500. 5.3L Z71 extended cab.

I need to purchase a new Fuel Pump.  So the question now is... because I
want the best performance, especially when I floor it, okay and everyday
driving. LOL. What would be the better brand to replace the fuel pump
assembly with?    (Mine has the 2 electric connections.)

My searching so far has led me to think Delphi, Airtec, Spectra, or ACDelco.
What are your expert opinions?

Also, is there anything that I should make sure the pump comes with? As I am
looking online I see a lot of veriation as some come with this and some come
with that, and others specifically say they do not include...

Thanks guys!!!!

Get one that was made by the manufacturer. That would be AC/Delco. Changing fuel pumps will not yield any performance gains unless your existing pump has an issue or the fuel pressure is not in spec.

I just read through an article https://www.google.com/url? sa=t&source=web&cd=16&ved=2ahUKEwjinYuO_abdAhUGSa0KHa9rAlYQFjAPeg QIBhAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Frealstreetperformance.com%2FFuel-Pump- Comparison-Test.html&usg=AOvVaw3Nc6xcMoXbsT15fpO5NFBP That states different fuel pumps do give different performances at different RPMs. Is that just hype, false? Or?
