Truck wont crank. All lights come on.

Asked by rustyolchevy May 24, 2017 at 10:48 AM about the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Plugged my little portable air compressor in the cig
lighter to punp up tires and truck started to bog a
little. I revved it up and got it back to steady idle.
Ran it for min after i was done pumpin air to
recharge battery and let it regain itself. Now couple
days later it wont crank over. All fuses look good. It
has previously made me put it into neutral to start
but this time its not workin. The rap #1 fuse clicks
extra loud tho. Is it supposed to? 4.8 liter motor

it may be that neutral switch just happened to give out completely at that time , batt still charged , terminals clean and tight ? check all fuses , see if starter is getting power or jump the solenoid see if it cranks . I don't think a 99 has computers that'll bug out on you . let us know what happens .
