I dont know why my truck wont start

Asked by Melissa Mar 03, 2021 at 01:12 AM about the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1991 chevy silverado 1500.
I was driving and hit the gas to pass
some traffic and my truck died. I
couldnt get it to start backnup. A
friend towed it back to my
appartment. I thought it was the
fuel relay switch so i bought and
replaced it. Fuel pump engages now
but my truck still wont start. What
should i be looking at now?

Things need to be tested before you replace them to save time/money . Check for spark , you could pour a little fuel down the barrel to see if it's a fuel problem . Check for power AND ground at the fuel pump disconnect .

I am very limited on my tools and I'm working with like no money so testing things first is not as easy as it sounds
