How can I open hood without getting into the passenger compartment, battery is dead and locks won't open - 2006 Monte Carlo

Could break a window, or open your trunk with the key, lay down the seats, climb through, pop the hood and open the doors

strange.. your key should open it. spray some lube in the key hole and put some grease on the key and try again.

Jack up the front of the car. Have a small jump starter. Put the positive (red) one large post of the starter and ground the other jumper cable. You should be able to unlock the door with the fob or the key on the door.
