Is it stock or what? Off the top of my head a few options would be a perf. chip, turbo, blower, nitrous or just plain old fashioned engine swap for something a little bigger.Personally i'd go for the swap it'll take some work but it's worth it.

you gotta remember it you put nitrous in it you gotta do some engine work. stock shit wont take nitrous, burns to hot. you'll be replacing gaskets a lot

the simple mods to get some more power would be chip, full exhaust, thermostat, and cold air intake. those are all easy to install and fairly cheap. should also improve fuel efficiency

Chase made some good suggestions, but if your Monte SS has the 3.8L engine, I would look for a used supercharger. Once you find one, you can improve its' performance by porting and polishing it, plus you can also swap the pulley for a smaller diameter, which will turn the supercharger faster, producing more power. You may have to swap a few drive belts until you find the correct size, but other than that, this should be a fairly easy upgrade.
