you're not gonna find any real horse power in a 3.8. if that's what you're looking for. i thought the SS montes can with 5.0 engines. easy swap for a v8.

I had a stock 2001 monte SS. 3.8L eng code K. Manufacturer advertised 205 HP from the factory. I changed the air intake sys with a K&N filter charger and changed the exhaust sys to a flowmater sys with 2 3/4" pipes + high flow cat and mufflers. I dyno ed the car and had 255 HP at the wheels. spent less than $500 bucks for the whole 9 yards

No, I'm pretty you don't have 255whp from an exhaust and a little filter insert lol, if you had a CAI, high flow downpipe, resonator delete then I can see at least 205/215whp.

i own 7 monte carlos and yes added k&n and exhaust will give you 255.The one I did this two is far faster then and of the stock one. However. The Supercharged is a whole other comparison dam it kicks ass

I would have to see the car run on the Dyno in order to believe a K&N and exhaust bolt on gaining 70+wheel HP a lot of the time u will lose power if u don’t flash a tune for those mods
