Question type: Maintenance & Repair

He doesn't drive it much, doesn't leave the headlights on, and doesn't have a working dome light. After the first battery replacement, they told us that they had to shut off the instrument panel lights bc they thought they were causing the problem. The car worked until two days ago (after the second battery), and now it's drained again. What could be the problem (everything major has been checked already twice) that is draining this battery?

Have they checked the alternator? If it's not working properly, it won't keep the battery charged, and any battery will die after running a car's electronics for a while. Autozone does free alternator tests. (no, I don't work for them either, just saying you can get free testing done there).

Yes, all the major things (including alternator, starter... etc) have been checked and they are fine.
