99 Monte Carlo problems with tail lights, dash lights, and temp gauge is going crazy

Asked by Kbtheroux Jun 07, 2013 at 10:14 AM about the 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Tail lights don't work, dash lights don't work, and the temp gauge keeps going way up
and then comes back to normal.  What's going on? My daughter uses this car and I have
to make sure she is safe.

Aside from checking the bulbs for the lights and making sure of the coolant level, the dash and all these problems could be something with the alternator. -modified 02 mc owner
