I have a 1997 Monte Carlo and it not getting fuel to start what is most likely cause? Is it more likely a fuse or pump?

Check relay and fuse first, also check for pump operation, have someone listen at the fuel filler neck, turn the key to the on position but DO NOT CRANK, fuel pump should come on for a few seconds then shut off. if not and fuse and relay are good, replace pump.
