Coolant leak?

Hey guys. Yesterday while driving my "low coolant" light kept coming on for about a minute or 2 then going off for a while, then coming back on etc. I just changed the level sensor about a month about ago so my initial thought was a loose connection but when I checked, sure enough I was low. My radiator is full but the reservoir is empty - it was full after i changed the sensor.

I park in a driveway at night so I probably would have noticed any large leaks from the system. I had the head gasket changed out about 2 years ago because of the notorious leak but I'm wondering if that problem has come back to haunt me? Ideas? Thanks.

did you try checking out the heater core? My auto teacher has the same problem with his sunfire.

A heater core leak would most likely result in the smell of antifeeze inside the car and, if it's a bad enough leak, would also result in an "oil slick" on the inside of your windshield. Have you thought about pressure testing the cooling system? Don't know anymore what a shop might charge you for it but it would probably be less than it would cost you to buy a radiator pressure tester.
