Chevy express 2004 cargo van. My DRL doesn't come on every time when its suppose to, although it's on in the instrument cluster. What is the possible reason?

Chevy express 2004 cargo van. My DRL doesn't come on every time
when its suppose to, although it's on in the instrument cluster. What
is the possible reason?

they usually don't come on until you put it in gear, so point it at something that has a reflection or have someone stand outside and watch when you put it in gear to see if they come on.
