Headlights 95 Chevy van G20

My headlights sporadically turn on
and off when headlights are on. I
changed the interior switch 3 times so
I’m assuming it’s not the switch. It’s
frustrating I’ve had several mechanics
look at it.  Every time they were
working so I was told if the problem
isn’t occurring while they were trying
to troubleshoot they couldn’t help me.
What do you think. I travel often from
ny to Florida and at night all of a
sudden I loose my headlights

Innumerable problems can happen in a 20 year old van. One of them is related too weather/moisture. I suspect that you have corrosion in the electrical system and every time you hit a bump, it looses contact. No mechanic is going to spend time on this because he's not going to make enough money on a van this old: it's probably worth less than two grand. Find the problem yourself or buy something newer with fewer problems. And I thing the latter would be your best advice if you frequently drive a thousand miles from a cold, humid place to a hot, humid place.
