Help plz

My 1994 Ford Explorer turns over but does not
catch the code reader is only Reading Mass Air
Flow would that be a reason for it not starting

Ed is correct. And I would take a closer look at your Mass Air Flow Sensor. It's located on the throttle body. If it's failing, it will give false air flow info to the computer's fuel management system giving the engine a fuel air mix that doesn't want to burn properly...runs terrible if at all.
