car shaking and vibration

Asked by kongwu75 Apr 24, 2018 at 05:20 PM about the 2006 Toyota Corolla CE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Corolla 2006 shaking and vibrating when gear is on Drive and Reverse.
I replaced spark plugs but nothing change.  I tested unplug the ignition coil
one by one while the engine is running.  1 out of the 4 didn't make any
change.  I replaced the 1 that didn't make any change but that didn't help.
The car still shaking and vibrating when gear is on Drive/Reverse.  Please
advise what could possibly cause the issue?  Thank you.

thanks for the answer. How would I go about fixing the injection or adjust the low compression? Thanks again.

Replace the injector. to take care of the compression issue ( if you have one ) you need to tear the engine down.

Test with a compression test tool on each spark plug hole, but if your misfiring could be a dirty fuel injector too. If it also has issues with low compression it could be a head gasket. If check engine light is on have it scanned for codes. May check for broken engine/trans mounts if it just shakes but runs well.
