Tires

Asked by TOMM222 Dec 11, 2018 at 09:40 AM about the 2014 Subaru Crosstrek XV Limited AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Subaru recommends H rated tires.  Would it hurt the drive train to run T rated
tires?  They usually have a longer warranty.  For that matter, would it hurt the
car to run V rated tires?  I understand the AWD Subarus have sensitive drive
trains.  Thanks!

It's just a speed rating , how fast do you plan on driving ? With AWD you want the SIZE tire it calls for and evenly worn tread , rotation twice a year maybe , Isn't technology great ? Now you're safe from all the idiots that don't know how to drive .

T rated tires are good to 118 mph. H rated tires are good up to 130 mph.
