The front passenger side power window switch does not work. I cannot roll the window up or down. The window is stuck in the down position. I have ordered a replacement switch and am going to pick it up this evening after work and would like to replace it tonight.
A quick basic answer: A] unhook Negative battery terminal B]remove the door latch; any other door panel screws, GENTLY pry the door panel (Assuming the arrest is built in and not attached separately) out from the frame -keep checking for any missed screws- with a plastic putty knife or a panel puller, watch for plastic clips/pins that hold the panel and keep any that are not broken -inexpensive replacements available at Toyota dealer ---, C] on the inside of the armrest/panel locate the switch wires-unplug- and remove the switch and replace with the new one. D] reassemble in reverse order. E] reconnect the Negative battery terminal. F] ;-) run the window up and down a few dozen times just because you can..;o) Good Luck Hope this helps
