I am trying to find out specifically what is the correct additives for a 1959 corvette
327/350hp so when I fill up with unleaded I have no issues.

Since it is not the original engine, it might have hardened valve seats and not need any lead substitutes. It also might have reasonably low compression and not need high octane fuel. I run regular unleaded fuel in my Vette with no trouble at all.

I have a 1969 Chevy Corvette. I have rebuilt or replaced almost every thing. I have not replaced the original A/C compressor but converted it to the new Eco friendly freon. I had it tested three times, had the cooler boxes cleaned out, fan replaced, yet I have trouble getting the car cool. I live in So. Cal. where it is a necessity of life to have the A/C work as good as when new from the factory. I put in heat/sound shielding under the floor mats, and had all components check for proper functioning. I was thinking of going to a serpentine belt system that would get the newest A/C compressor with the system. Has anyone done this or have any suggestions? 9 Answers

The A/C system does not leak, holds the proper pressure

1965 chevy 327; ran fine for last 20 years; started it one day, barely ran, no power like running on 4 cylinders. Changed: electronic ignition, plugs, coil, distributor cap, rotor, fuel filter, fuel tank sock. Checked to make sure timing was in spec. Air filter not blocked (K&N). Hey all. I have a 1975 Corvette C3. I just did something stupid. I pulled my alternator to have it checked; however I did not disconnect the battery. As I disconnected the battery cable from alternator, it arc'ed badly. After having the alternator checked, upon reinstalling it, I have no power at all.
