Do I have an LT-1 motor?

Asked by KiloAlpha Nov 20, 2015 at 09:47 AM about the 1958 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible RWD

Question type: General

My father is preparing to sell his 1958 Chevrolet Corvette.  Over the years he
has owned and driven it, he has been given conflicting information about the
motor.  The guy that sold him the car told him it had a 1970 LT-1 motor.  He
was told by a few mechanics that it is not an LT-1.  How can we determine?
Thank you in advance!
