Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I cannot find a component locator to save me. I have no idea where the starter relay is so i can bypass it to see if it is my starter. Also if someone could direct me to a place where i can get a FREE wiring diagram for the starter and ignition system.

I belive the starter relay is actually a starter solenoid wich is mounted on the starter motor, to bypass short the "s" terminal (thin wire) with the "batt" terminal (main cable).

Correct on the location of the "Starter relay." It's a solenoid. You should be able to get a free wiring diagram from any mechanic that has Alldata -- most can print out a wiring diagram at no charge for you. The starter/ignition system isn't terribly complex, I would consider removing the starter anyway and having it bench-tested at an auto parts store since usually solenoid/starter are replaced as a unit anymore.
