Look at the blades-- and the pitch of blades--whatever direction it needs to spin to blow from front toward engine.

An example, trying to explain, if this fan was turning clockwise from the direction you are looking at it, it will be blowing air right AT you

The fan needs to pull the air into the engine compartment through the radiator. So the picture above the blades need to face the engine, away from the radiator and turn clockwise. Most electric motors will turn the fan blades clockwise as you stand beside the engine looking at the radiator in the front of the engine.
