Start with your nose. How does it smell? I had a Suburban once that went "swimming" Removed and replaced the carpet and it was fine. No funky smell and drove fine.

By repaired do you mean that they got it back running? Or did they remove and replace all electrical components, wiring harnesses, completely flush engine and trans, (where water goes so goes dirt-dirt in oil equals liquid sand paper). Ect. I know it's tempting cause I have also been tempted to get one myself but I hear horror stories of flooded vehicles having major issues after they had supposedly been fixed. Buyer beware.

First of all, the 1984 Corvette is perhaps the lowest price Corvette on the market right now. It was the first year for the C-4 Corvette and there was a lot of problems with them. The resale value also was low because it was a low HP car due to the smog regulations. What you are looking at is a complete body off restoration. Non flooded, good condition, low mileage Corvettes are going for five grand. They bring a lot of problems, and now your adding what tennisshoes is telling you. $2,000 tops. You will drop an easy 10 grand to make sure everything is good to go and working like new. The key word there was working.
