in cases like this a multimeter can be ur best friend check to see if the feild terminal has power if so check alternator output voltage at alt. if if no power at f terninal check alt fuse and wire is the car and alternator stock if it is and u dont have voltage out of alt. but power at f terminal might have an externaly regulator iwould also check wire going from alt output to battery make sure it is not broken internally
