That sounds about right- can't you just count the shifts as it rolls on up from zero?

Thats right, also the gear ratio in the rear end determines the rpm you run at. 60 mph at 3500 rpm sound like a 4:10 or 4:11 gear ratio. Makes for a quick car.

I would check the tag on the rear axle to see what you gear ratio is. If you have 4.11 gears you might want to go to something higher for more relaxed cruising and better gas mileage. If you are at 3500 at 60 mph your top speed will only be about 100 mph before you hit redline.

I suspect you are stuck in 2nd gear. 3500 is too high to be in top gear.

Use this calculator and input the ratio and your tire size and it will reveal all! http://www.coastdriveline.com/htmlfolder/calculator2.html

When you drive the car count the up shifts. If there is only one then you have confirmation.

checked calculator and it came out as 4300 at 55MPH. its hard to tell on shifting due to it is very smooth. may need to watch tach and push it hard.
