It's actually pretty low, 675cca rolls over the first year smog motor with ease. I upgraded my system to a 100 amp alt with an Optima battery with 850cca and a MSD gear reduction starter.Remember to replace your alt wire with a new one of larger size. Jeg's and Summit have them in stock.

battery drains in a week, new battery was installed by the dealer. I have 350ma draw initially when car is shut off and then it drops to 250ma.

My 1986 Vette is having a problem all of a sudden when I start it it runs really.high, 2400 rpms. And it doesn't go down. The only thing I have done is spray some WD40 on the accelerator cable.
