Why rear trunk door not open by switch

2008 lexus rx350 The hatchback door will not close or open by using buttons on the door and it will not open. Need help!

2013 Lexus rx350 thank door only open Manuely , non of the buttons working , also I can’t open with the remote, any body knows what’s the problem? Thanks

I do have same issue with my 2013 Lexus RX 350 too , still don’t know why

if you get 2 beeps when pressing button & rear door won't open....inside the glove box is a reset button that will again activate the auto-opening- button & open the rear door.

2 beeps problem was caused by "helpful" golf course attendant lifting the rear door while the driver was pushing the inside button at the same time. This must have caused the button for the rear door in the glove compartment to pop out. Pushing the button back in to the "on" position fixed the problem

I have a 2007 Lexus rx350 the tailgate will open using inside button but not on the tail gate switch however it will close using the close button on the tailgate. I replaced the tailgate open switch but no change. Canyons out there have an answer to why my cars tailgate will not open automatically when pressing the exterior button?
