I change the battery of LEXUS RX350 and now audio and air con not working

Will charging my phone while in ACC drain battery? I usually get to work early, and I like to sit in my car on my phone to pass the time. I don't want my phone dying while at work, so i keep it charging while i use it in my car. I used to have my car idling while i did this, but that used gas and I learned its bad to let your car idle, so I've started using accessory mode. Is this safe to do? Will my car's battery die faster than normal because of this? Thanks in advance!
