It means that the AWD system has some issue going on, it could be a wheel speed sensor, wiring issues or something deeper. Have your favorite shop run a diagnostic on it.

Ah, another Lexus owner who doesn't know how to read an owner's manual. Have a mechanic check the car and find out if there's something wrong with AWD system or something else that caused the computer to shut off the AWD system. I suspect that you're missing another ight: the CEL.

Thanks everyone Had to have a total engine replacement at 59,000 miles so of course this is worrisome. Lexus would do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help with the expense--just out of warranty.

The engine went at 59000? That sounds like a maintenance issue. Our old RX had over 135000 and was running very strong when it was totaled by a distracted driver crossing the center line.

The car received all scheduled maintenance plus a few extra due to little driving during the pandemic. The problem was caused by a broken intake valve which destroyed the engine. All of our other Toyota cars have been driven to major mileage levels.

Ah, another in the LONG line of questions that originally contained no information on the car, other than age, make & model. Anyone who could provide answers with such lack of details is in my opinion a GOD... And that includes me,
