Question type: Shopping & Pricing

is the transmission bad.  there is no issue driving foward at any speed,  only
when the lexus is shifted into reverse to park the car suddenly is hit or
miss/mostly free spins.  out of no where it started after the tranny fluid was
filled for the winter.
is it really the transmission or the shifter control??
right away to mechanices said the tranny get it fixed for 2,800.00.  my
regular mechanic ( does not do transmission repairs) said it could be the shift
control.  how can i find out what is the real cause.  no tranny lights are on in
the dash control lights.

Don't know if that's this what will help you or just make you worry more I know mind on that and now it's out and I'm trying to see if it's some sort of still solenoid or something because I can turn it off and turn it back on and it would reset but now it won't even go into gear
