Problem with my 2001 RX300

Asked by Thomas Sep 28, 2020 at 04:29 PM about the 2001 Lexus RX 300 AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 200,000 miles on my car.  Sometime lately when I am driving the car I
get a ringing sound, but nothing happens.  Today it happened while I was
driving and for a short time I felt some sort of shimmy on my steering whole.
Any suggestions?

I have no idea about the ringing noise but the shimmy could be worn suspension (check the control arm bushings) or tire balance. My RX300 needs a Road Force Balance to ride smooth.
