Question type: General

Hi
I'm looking at a 2002 Lexus 300 RX and has an excellent
maintenance/service with 150,000 miles. The FAX checks out clean except for
a car accident that happened in 2002.
Usually I wouldn't bother with a car that was in an accident but since there
was no frame or structural damage  and no air bags were employed I may
look into it further.
The Lexus was serviced and maintained every 5,000 miles and timing belt
replaced at 75,000 miles.
Does the Lexus need servicing every 5,000 miles or should I steer away from
it since it was in an accident?
Thank you for your response,
Mark

The best bet would be to have a mechanic do a pre-purchase inspection on it to verify that there's no major damage and that the repairs were done well. At 150k miles, you'll need to have some money set aside for repairs as it will likely need a few in the near future just based on mileage and age.
