My trunk release lever inside will not open trunk any longer....anyone know fix?

Cut out behind the licence plate and manually pull the release. It is easy just get a bi metal bit and a sawzall. Cut about 1/2 to 1 inch depth in a U shape. Then curl down the metal to access the trunk release. once you open the trunk, inside you can reconnect the rod the came undone located behind a fabric flap behind the key mechanism.

I lock my car keys in my trunk of 1995 lexus Ls 400 and how do I get them back my trunk let her won't work please help me I've been stuck for 2 hours
