I recently purchased a well maintained 1993 Lexus LS 400, but the battery was said to be a problem. I have only driven it a few times, but I notice when I apply the breaks the headlaps blink. Can this be a symptom of an electrical problem that would explain why the battery was always being drained for the prior owner? I am going to purchase a new high quality battery, but the prior owner told me to keep the + terminal disconnected so it would not go dead. Hmmm :( This does not sound like a practical way to address the problem. Any suggestions? Scott 2 Answers

My LS400 is not running like a V8 should. For the first few years i've had the car it ran great. I use to fool around and drive fast, and when i hit the gas it picked up speed and roared like a V8 should, now it doesn't pick up the speed nor rev up like it used to. What could be the problem? Car will not accelerate 1 Answer
Blew fuses on 1998 Lexus ls400 by hooking jumper cables up backwards. Had to replace two 30 and one 10 amp fuse so far. Car will start but will not accelerate, also the radio does not work.
