Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Tranny hose to the radiator blu-out. The car smoked like hell pulled over
changed the hose and replaced 3/4's of a qt of fluid.
Went to start it and go....... NOTHING! No reverse, drive etc.
Someone mentioned about some tranny solinoids/relays?????  Where are
they and how do I test them?

Are you sure that adding 3/4 quart of fluid filled the transmission back to the full level?

Bob when I replaced the hose originally then put the 3/4 qt. of fluid in, I was wondering why the fluid coming from the hose was almost black and when I had been checking the dipstick fluid it was clean. When I read you answer I was thinking maybe something is plugged. I went underneath and pulled the left side line coming from the engine and blew. (with the dipstick pulled) it bubbled out the dip tube. Replaced and did it on the right side and could not blow. I don't know if this helps? And of course re-check ed the level and it was exactly where it suppose to be, but still no engaging of gears. I thought alot more then 3/4 of a qt. Would have dumped out.
