how do you rate the 2000 lexus ls400

Asked by lexus195 Sep 12, 2008 at 11:46 PM about the 2000 Lexus LS 400 RWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I'm interested in purchasing a used lexus because I need something reliable and is very comfortable when taking a road trip of 200-250 miles one way.  I have a son with two years left in college and can ill afford to get a lemon of a vehicle that is known to have difficulty passing a service center without stopping in for on-going repairs.  Please give me your opinion.

LS400? Get one. I've done ONE major repair one, the starter, and seen one, the water pump. Hey, it's a Toyota.

You can never go wrong with a Lexus, especially an LS400. It's smooth, fast, comfortable, and RELIABLE. I've had my GS400 for nearly 11 years, with over a 100K miles, and it's great. However, keep in mind that maintenance can be pretty expensive.

or you could jus get a toyota celsior, its the exact same thing except a toyota and maintenance would be cheaper

you can still buy the toyota parts for a lexus so in the end, it is the same price. and a good price and reliable car at that.
