Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Had battery replaced and both fob and manual key open trunk.Dealer said I have a faulty trunk latch, but after I took the car home, the trunk opened fine with the manual key. Could the trunk latch be affected by a dead battery when opening manually?

My trunk key turned fairly hard. Did you turn it with enough force and the correct direction. Also pushing down gently on the hatch may nelp.
