How can I retrieve an inquiry that I inadvertently lost in my email?

I got an inquiry on my listing, but I inadvertently deleted it.  Is there any way to retrieve it?

Yahoo. I am sure I saw an inquiry yesterday, but it's not there now. Should I/can I post something on my listing asking whoever inquired to inquire again?

Did it; checked trash & spam. I think I must have deleted it. But is it appropriate to post something on my listing? This is my first listing. Thanks for your help!
