What is engine size? Is it carbed or fuel injected? The sending unit for the fuel gage is in the gas tank. Check wiring connector for sending unit, how many wires? Used to you could use resistors, one represents full tank, the other represents empty. With key on, if gage reacts properly to each resistor, the problem is the sending unit in the gas tank. If the gage doesn't react at all, then problem with gage or wiring circuit to sending unit. Just my opinion.

My son's car. Engine size V6 2.8, fuel injected.as far as how many wires I'm not sure. It reads full all the time wether the key is on or not. I may go thru the hatch because I really don't want to go thru the Hassel of moving things to drop the tank. Since I don't have access to a lift I will be working on my back.
