Does anyone have any photos on an assembled rear axle? A friend dropped the rear axle on my camaro to change out the fuel pump and then he split town without putting it back together.

Why would he drop the rear axle to replace the fuel pump? You can drop the tank plus dosn't the 1989 have a manual fuel pump on the motor? Or is that when they changed them over to electric in the tank? Eaither way he should not of had to drop the rear axle assembly

Thanks to everyone. My friend did a great job in replacing the fuel pump. He even went the extra mile and fixed the float that is connected to the gas gauge. He had to drop the axle because it was the only way to pull the tank down. Damn thing is a tight fit and it a model that has the fuel pump in the gas tank; otherwise, it would have been an easy fix. Plus, other factors figured into his having to leave town. Another time, another story.
