Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Subaru Legacy.  I have a Subaru legacy 2005 and
it’s got a little over 170,000 miles at least I want to
get at least another year out of it but last month I
noticed white smoke coming from both of the
exhaust pipes I had someone look at it they told
me that I need a new turbo charger  And that the
white smoke could be contributed to the fact that
my engine is starting to take on oil that should  be
getting filter to the turbo chargerbut I Just want to
be sure That’s what’s wrong before I order the part
online don’t have a check engine light not on

It's too old to chase a new turbo, as, soon after turbos are replaced on 2005+ 2.5t the motor then blows. Seen it MANY times. Dump the car. Sorry. Ern TSG/B
