1976 FJ40 Landcruiser only fires sometimes

Tuck seems to have a mind of its own. Just went out and fired right up. Last
week turned fine but wouldn't fire.  Has been this way for last month. Doesn't
matter if engine or weather hot/cold.  Could this be bad cable from coil to
distributor?
