Would a rotary engine from a Mazda rx7 fit in a 1992 Mazda protégé DC 4 Dr front wheel drive?

That's not true a front wheel drive 1992 Mazda 323 same fit as a 1992 protege is on YouTube fitted with a rx7 engine. Any engine can fit to any gear box with an adapter plate.

That's correct, I've seen 92 Honda civics with a single turbo 13B in it. They used an adapter plate to join the factory transmission from the civic to the 13B engine. The only modification you might need to do is the motor mount
