Timin belt or chain on 2011

Timing belt or chain on 2011 Lexus RX 350

Look at the top of ur engine. To the left of it you might see a blacl plastic box this indicates a timing belt this alows for easy acsses for replacing it. As If u have a timming chain. These last the life of the car. U also need to know if u have a interface engine or a non onterface engine. With a interface engine if the belt were to go bad u could cause horrendous damage. A non interface would be as bad. Hope this helps.

Timimg chain wont have the plastic box bc it's built into the side of the engine.
