NEXT, fluid contamination L460E automatic

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Thanks to all for advice on the 4.3 conversion to carb and HEI ignition last night. Next prob. Apparently coolant got in the transmission probably from a break in the radiator. I do not think too much but enough to make it obvious.
The engine and trans are on the way out of the vehicle (98 blazer). Breaking the car down one step at a time.
Can the transmission be flushed out or did this contamination cause damage?
I appreciate your comments.

There is no way to know if the transmission is damaged. Change the fluid once, run it for a few minutes and change it again. Hope for the best.
