How do I find out if my truck is a v8 or a v6? I know it is a 5 litre, 1996 gmc ext cab, with 130k. I am selling it but people are asking me if it is a v8 or v6?? I am selling it for my husband

Assuming it is a 5 litre it would be a V8, best check is to count the spark plugs. 8 plugs means v8, 6 plugs means v6.
