2009 Saturn vue tailgate won't latch shut when cold out?

get some silicone spray lubricant and spray in the latch, door handle and even the hinges. also in the spot for the key if it has one. you will have to use something small to open the little key opening and then spray in with the little red nozzle on the lube.
