The small block Chevrolet engine was introduced in the fall of 1954 for the 1955 model year displacing 265 cubic inches. The 350 was introduced for 1967 originally as a performance engine.

The Chevy 350 was born in 1967 and placed in the Camaro, the 265 was born in 1954 and then the 283 came along in 1957. Then the 327 was born in 1962.

Some say that the 350 was born in 1968, to replace the 327 which was last used in 1969. I believe that the 265 was born in 1955.

I had a 67 Camaro with 327 hump heads, didn't see any 350s till 68, some willing to state in 67 only in muscle cars, if so I believe they were special order

The 67 Camaro came with optional 230 or 250 sixes along with a 327 or 350 V8 (SS350).

The 350 was on the SS Camaro only in 1967. Was not available on any other 67 model. First year for the 350.
