Car doesn't turn on after putting gas in and randomly after use. What is wrong with it?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1999 Nissan Altima SE, stick shift.
It randomly has this problem of not turning
on after using it. For example, I start my car
at point A, go to point B and at point B after
shutting the car off, it won't turn on. Of
course, it is not everytime but it happens
randomly. I noticed this happens especially
after putting gas in my car. If I drive to the
gas station, turn it off and put gas, it won't
turn on guaranteed. I've pushed to start the
car various times and it starts when I do that.
***NOTE: when trying to start the car, the
engine does not crank or make any noise. It
is completely dead. Also the car will turn on
after letting it sit for a while******
