flat tow a four wheel drive a 2019 Toyota tacoma

I would not tow any automatic transmission vehicle unless the transfer case can be put in neutral. I would consult with your Toyota dealer and have them show you in the factory literature where it says you can tow or not. Never take the word of a salesman.
I have a manual transmission, 2003 toyota 4/4 with 106,000 miles and tow it everywhere. The transfer should be left in 2d position and not placed in neutral position. The minute it is taken out of 2d it engages the front drive train! The transmission placed in neutral and of course the key is left in the on position. (Toyota factory says it cannot be towed that way. Contact the company you are going to buy your tow bar from and ask them) Toyota did that for legal reasons. Too many people did not follow instructions about drive train setup.
I have a 2003 Toyota Tacoma and have flat towed for 15 years. I put the transfer case in neutral and tranny in 5th gear and key left on. This has worked well and the instruction were given to me by Sterling tow bar company. papasmurf0050@gmail.com
