Allowing potential buyers to test drive your car

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

What is the best strategy to let a stranger test drive your car?  Is it to take a
copy of their driver's license and insurance card and let them go alone?  Go
with them?  I appreciate any advice!

Copy their driver's license, and then ride along with them. Have another person with you. Call your insurance company and ask if your policy covers other drivers, if not change it so it does for the duration of time you have the car for sale. Check out DMV.org, "Test Drive Etiquette for Selling a Car". I'd post a direct link but this site tends to block links.

I play it safe. I take a photo of license and insurance and let them go alone.
